Incorporating nature-based materials such as sand, earth and natural resin based inks into heart art paintings connects me to the world around us. By using those elements, I feel that I'm offering to the world a piece of art beyond my understanding and that also reflects the beauty of our environment.
Heart art may seem to some visually appealing but also serves as a profound message about the love and care we owe our planet. Seeing the use of sustainable materials in my heart art paintings hopefully promotes eco-friendliness by encouraging both the artist and the viewer to think about the impact of their life choices.
As an artist I know about the challenges of using planet-friendly art supplies, especially when budget restrictions apply. The least one can do is be aware of choices and select the least harmful products in line with our financial possibilities at that moment.
